The Library opening hours are as follows:

Monday to Thursday
8.00 am - 5.00 pm (Open during lunch time)

Fridays
8.00 am - 12.15 pm (Closed for Friday prayers)
2.45 pm - 5.00 pm

We are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays

Classification System
The library uses the Library of Congress Classification Number and Library of Congress Subject Headings for cataloging and classifying materials.


Note
Anyone who wishes to utilise the Library and its services should request for permission from Director-General, of IKIM or the Librarian. Notification of approval will be sent soonest possible.

 
Conference Halls
Conferencing facilities in IKIM include the following:

(i) Main Hall I
(ii) Theatrette
(iii) Operational Room

Main Hall I has a seating capacity for 300 people (without tables). The hall comes equipped with chairs, tables, skirting, rostrums, a PA system, an overhead projector and a screen. The daily rental rate is RM1,800 for government agencies and RM2,500 for private organisations.

The Theatrette which is located next to the Main Hall I is equipped with a PA system and a rostrum. The daily rental rate is RM500 for government agencies and RM1,000 for private organisations.

The Operational Room which adjoins the Main Hall I is equipped with chairs, a round-table and a PA system. The daily rental rate is RM500 for government agencies and RM1,000 for private organisations.

Extra charges are charged for the following days:
  • Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays - RM500 a day (Government Agencies)
  • Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays - RM700 a day (Private Organisations)

Banquet Hall
The banquet facility is located at Main Hall II of IKIM. It has a seating capacity for 350 people. The hall comes equipped with chairs, tables, rostrums and a PA system. The daily rental rate is RM1,800 for government agencies and RM2,500 for private organisations.

  • Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays - RM500 a day (Government Agencies)
  • Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays - RM700 a day (Private Organisations)
