Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia (IKIM) has organized the National Colloquium on “Good Governance In Islam” on the 3rd of September 2019/3 Muharam 1441H at IKIM Grand Hall. “Governance” refers to the exercising of economics, political/ social and administrative power to manage a country. All levels are involved, including corporations and other entities. It comprises the mechanisms, processes and institutions through which citizens and groups articulate their interests, exercise their legal rights, meet their obligations and mediate their differences.

The main objectives of this Colloquium are to emulate the best practices in governing a country or organisations with justice, to navigate the notion of good governance along diverse rights and conflicting interests to share experiences in critical decision-making and strategic implementation and to recommend a framework of indices on good governance in Islam.
